How this fits
your setup

Keep one shared address for a campaign while testing different screenshots or messages on approved Custom Product Pages. Each campaign link has its own experiment and history.

  1. Add your page URLs

Use two to four direct App Store URLs for the same app. A standard store page can be the control; custom pages use their ppid parameter.

  2. Set probabilities and start

Choose whole-number percentages that add up to 100%. GoToApp randomly assigns eligible iOS requests and keeps the variant in a browser cookie when available.

  3. Compare and choose

Review assignment counts and actual request shares in GoToApp. Use App Store Connect for downloads and conversion, then send eligible iOS traffic to your chosen winner.

Keep each experiment’s history

Pages and probabilities are fixed after launch. Pause and resume a test, export its counts to CSV, or create a new experiment when your settings change. Selecting a winner does not declare statistical significance.

Questions about this setup

Does 50/50 guarantee the same number of installs?

No. It sets the probability for each new assignment. Request totals can differ, and GoToApp does not measure installs.

Will a returning visitor see the same page?

A browser keeps its assigned variant for up to 90 days when its cookie remains available. Different browsers or cleared cookies can create new assignments.

What happens when Pro expires?

Experiment routing stops and shared-domain links use their standard app destination. Running tests pause when accessed and require an explicit resume after Pro is restored. Pro subdomain addresses retain their existing plan restrictions.

Can I change the probabilities during a test?

No. Archive the current test and create another to keep results from different settings separate.
