Mobile games and store links
Games have more channels than most categories, and each one handles links differently.

Channel by channel

|---|---|
| Discord | often fine, users switch to system browser |
| YouTube description | in-app browser, usually fails on iOS |
| TikTok | in-app browser, fails and rewrites parameters |
| Twitch panels | in-app browser on mobile |
| in-app browser, varies by client |
Cross-promotion
If you run a portfolio and promote one game inside another, you control the container. Implement the scheme hand-off in your own WebView and those taps stop failing, which is entirely in your hands, unlike social traffic.
Pre-registration
Pre-registration campaigns point at store pages weeks before launch, and the links get shared far beyond the original placement. A routing address means you can change the destination on launch day without chasing every post.
Creator traffic
Streamers and video creators paste links into descriptions and panels that stay live for years. Same rule as elsewhere: hand them a routing address with their own token, and never a raw store URL.
The measurement angle
Games usually have solid in-app analytics and weak link analytics. Knowing how many taps reached the store closes the gap between the ad platform's click count and the first-session count in your own data.
One address across every channel, changeable on launch day without touching a single post.
